Dalby Dig Day Report - 16th May
Posted by Ian on 2010-05-18 20:49:28 UTC
| | Which is the quickest way back to the visitor center mate? One of the days first distractions was a man who had dislocated his collarbone at Dixons. The SingletrAction ambulance ferried them away for fixing while we got set for a days digging. Then there was another less serious casualty before we had even got the shovels out. Maybe theres a requirement for a St Johns ambulance on a dig day so we can actually get some digging done! | Read more...
Andystand.co.uk

| | Here's something we noticed at the Chevin Demo Day that shows innovation is alive and well in the most unlikely of places. Andystand were being used by Chevin Cycles to hold their extensive demo fleet and the ease of use and practicality of them impressed us.
Andy initially built them in his garden shed (as all great innovators should ) but has now moved production to proper facilities to cope with demand. The simple design means no moving parts and a lightweight robust structure.
All details can be found on the Andystand website. |
Stainburn May Dig Day

| | (No recent pics yet so here's an oldie but a goody of Gil chucking rocks while trail building )
Fantastic effort by everyone that made it. Numbers were low but that was understandable given some of the regulars were racing or on other commitments, the sun was shinning and it was far nicer to be riding a bike than pushing a barrow. Unusual scenario where there were more barrows than builders at some times. | Read more...

Yorkshire Road Race Championship Marshalling
Posted by Mark B on 2010-04-28 09:33:14 UTC
A plea for your help from Ed at Crosstrax.... Crosstrak are taking a big leap and organising and sponsoring the Yorkshire Road Champs this year. The race is on Sunday May 23rd and around Pennypot, Nr Fewston Harrogate. There are two races on the same circuit (Elites and J/W/Vets) so plenty to watch. We'd like you to help support the events by either marshalling or driving one of the support vehicles or even helping in the kitchen at the changing rooms. Several BCF officials are also there to oversee the whole thing and will brief all marshalls in detail before the events get underway; therefore it does not matter if you have not marshalled a road event before. The BCF are sending a reporter and photographer so it is important we do a good job. Read more...
