SingletrAction Charter


1. Name. 'SingletrAction'.

2. Administration.
- Chairman: Tim Sellors chairman@singletraction.org.uk
- Secretary: Jason Ashworth secretary@singletraction.org.uk
- Treasurer: Libby Boyd treasurer@singletraction.org.uk
- Membership and Merchandise Co-ordinator: Libby Boyd membership@singletraction.org.uk

3. It was agreed that there should be no 'committee' and that all club decisions were to be taken collectively in open forum meetings by the membership.

4. It was further agreed that additional positions may be created as and when necessary.

5. Subscription. An Annual Membership Fee was agreed at £15.00 for each member. This falls due 1 April, in advance, and every twelve months thereafter.

6. A bank account will be opened in the name of SingletrAction and all subs and other funds will be deposited into this account. Accounts will be kept detailing all income and expenditure. Two signatories will be required for any withdrawal. Statements and accounts should be open to inspection at any time by club members (within reason).

7. Membership. Is open to mountain bike enthusiasts of every discipline.

8. Objects of the club are;
- To sustain, improve and expand Yorkshires trail network through practical participation, with due care to the environment.
- To promote mountain biking opportunities that are environmentally sound and socially responsible.
- To act as an advisory body to local authorities, agencies and land managers as regards regional offroad cycling opportunities, facilities and sustainable cycle tourism.

9. Affiliations. It was agreed that the SingletrAction club should be affiliated to the International Mountain Bicycling Association.

10. It was further agreed that members should be at liberty to become individual members of IMBA should they choose, but that membership of IMBA was not a requirement of SingletrAction club member.

11. It was agreed that the SingletrAction club should be affiliated to BCTV and will utilise BCTV's insurances (currently paid by Forest Enterprise).

12. Annual General meeting. An AGM will be held on the 1st April where all issues relating to the above, along with any other business, will be considered and that any amendments would be agreed by the membership.

13. Meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month unless advised on the groups 'Smartgroup', as will the venue.

15. Members will benefit from a range of social activities such as club rides and drinkies.

16. Members will benefit from the support and expertise of the club in issues relating to local trail access and as an interface with local land managers and agents
