Could be tempted assuming it isn't windy/rainy/cold/snowy.

Chances are the weather'll be at least 3 out of 4 so may as well ride anyway.

Anywhere in mind ?

Not sure what time i'll get out (depends on wife and her illness) so you/anyone still riding ?

I'd head up washburn valley as i've not been there for a while or do a loop round Bailden/Shipley Glen/Thackley/Buck Wood.

I'm still out Mark. Liking the sound of the Baildon / Shipley Glen stuff.

Through general incompetence and apathy i've not charged any lights.
I'm going to go over to Thackley for about 6.30 and play around 'til it gets near dark.

How about 6.30 at the Hare and Hounds in Menston for a ride round Baildon/Shipley/etc ? I'll phone if that proves a problem for me.

Sounds good Mark - see you there. I may be as late as 6.45 but all being well I'll be there at 6.30.

The key word there was 'apathy'. Work is busy, i'm knackered and late nights just aren't in my book of fun at the moment :smt015

Not daft though are you? I knew somebody would spot the time  And to answer your question, 3 hrs for the bar light, 12 hours for the head lamp.

PS - it was 1.15. Forum clock is an hour out

Hope all goes as well as could be expected Mark. That was quite a tumble.

First time I've finished a Tuesday night with a train ride home :?

Great ride up to that point by the way

i'm banking on the fact that as i was able to issue forth a stream of profanity after the crash rather than go into shock that it won't be too bad 8)

thanks to Steve for helping us out.

and as it had turned into a great little route we will go back and complete it.

now off to bed which i've been putting off 'cos either lying down or getting up tomorrow is going to be fun...

Hope you're feeling OK this morning Mark, and that the injury isn't too serious.

Where and how did you crash?

Just a little singletrack down, only a few bike lengths long but a little techie with a few slippery rocks to negotiate. I think he slipped off the side of one of them and went over the bars, his shoulder taking most of the impact. I didn't think Mark swore that much. I was wrong

Good job he was still conscious as I had absolutely no idea where we were

Seemed like a bloody long way back to the road too.

X-ray showed a broken tip of my collarbone so i'm now incapacitated with a sling on my left arm. To complicate matters further my right hand/thumb is bandaged up as i sprained that. So i have 2 half functioning arms

We were riding a nice techy bit of track up above Baildon - 99 times out of a 100 we'd have just bounced over the rock and thought nothing of it. And same with the fall, most times you'd walk away, this was just the 1 in a 100 slip and bad landing. ho hum.

Ouch Mark. Glad to here all is OK (sort of).

And there's me thinking I had a bad night. Got out finally at 6.45. Wheelied off a small drop on Shipley Glen and snapped a spoke on the Ragley - wheel all loose, and had to return home.
Gone out today with all best intentions of removing and regreasing all the linkages on the Slayer only to find that the linkage bolt behind the BB is snapped clean in two. MY BIKES HATE ME :x
