Hope you are both well, its some time since we last spoke.

I've had an email from a rider at Wharncliffe saying that there has been logging on section 1 of the Mountain bike trail. I know this happened in the past and we did ask if you could at least send an email saying you were about to do this so we could at least warn riders to look at for possible felled logs etc causing a hazard.

I know there is great support for mountain biking up there but in the interests of safety then Singletraction / Ride Sheffield would be a good way of at least getting word to riders. Even though there is no current mountain bike project at Wharncliffe we would still like to keep dialog with the FE for this exact reason.

Thanks for your e-mail - I will speak to the contractor concerning this as the trail should have been closed and diverted, along with relevant warning signs erected, to prevent cyclists accessing it whilst operations are ongoing.
