Hi
After a long absence from building up at Silton I've decided to try & get the course back up to scratch again.
I'm at home for 2 weeks over easter so if anyone fancies coming up to lend a hand then give me a shout or post on here.
It mostly needs rain holes & ruts fixing but i plan on changing a few old and tired bits.

One thing I noticed was that people seem to have been building rubbish little jumps to miss out technical bits and a lot of corners seem to have been straightlined. If you know whos been building up there or see anyone moving logs so they can straightline the corners off, please say something. (Its a DH track it ought to have corners!)

Cheers
Ed Thomsett

Rode the revamped course last weekend, like the new section on the bottom half - good edition.

I've ridden it on a hardtail

it is incredibly bouncy and tech from the middle section... i would do it on my enduro no probs but is much more fun on a big bouncer... I haven't checked the xc round there but there is scope for some seriously nice decent lines over the other side :D

think knacker has done everything on a hardtail :|

Isn't any trail technically rideable on a hardtail - it all depends on what you class as 'fun' or whether you value your fillings :)

Okay I had fun riding Silton on a hardtail.

And yes Ill ride a HT almost anywhere even raced on my old Orange Airo at Hamsterley at the regional champs.

Agree more fun to ride on a sus as you can carry speed and not loose your teeth.

Not sure I fancy the jumps on my CX bike
