Whilst Team GB were busy at the Olympics we were out in everyone's favourite woods humping and thumping out more techie trail.

Work concentrated on the new section of trail near the start of the Red Loop that's needed to accomodate the new jump and avoid the chance of riders clashing. Trail bed dug, stumps removed, human chain for rock recovery formed, drainage pipe installed and c.75% of the section pitched. There was aggregate on site but we won't be ready for that until next session

Thanks as always to all those volunteers who came on the day. Someone with the sign in sheet will have to do the honours there.

We even seemed blessed with the weather whilst Bradford got hail all the storms seemed to be either very brief or pass us by on the other side of the valley.

Next session likely to be first Sunday of September and details can be found, closer to the time, in the "Trailbuilding" section of the forum. They will also be posted on the FB pages.

Worth noting that we've bought another 12 tonnes of 40mm to dust limestone (commonly called "aggregate" or for the less technical "stone"). This cost £260 and was paid for out of club funds. As I'm fond of doing I like to think of that as just over 17 individual, annual membership subscriptions (@ £15 each).
