Agreed. Congrat's to everyone who's got it this far 8)

Still can't get the hang of both the jumps / mini-roller-doubles on the two berms but think that's just down to time and patience.

Got to agree it is now mega-quick. All it needs is a cross-over

More like they *can* be jumps if you're so inclined.

If you're riding anti-clockwise there's one out of the old berm, after the straight of 4 (?) rollers, i.e. enteringthe new section rather than entering the 'S'. When inthe new section the second is as you rejoing the old berm at the end of the new sections straight.

Clear as mud

Already run through some ideas with knacker, but we may need to "find" some material as there's not enough left within the current PT.

We need to sort out an STA day there before the nights draw in and the weather turns shitty (or did the latter part already happen....??)

Good, good 8)

Gotta say though the next month (until end of September is looking chocka what with Stainburn dig, IMBA, Dalby PT and 6 month AGM etc. Saying all that the wetter the weather is probably no bad idea as it'll help the soil bind together.

Spent the last two days 'pumping' with Ed Oxley, turns out it applies nearly everywhere...

I forgot you were doing that. Were you at Crag quarry today?

I was at Lee Quarry for Rd 4 of the Brownbacks series doing my best to race but my old legs weren't really up for it today
And I fell off

Yeh had to ride Crag Quarry cos some lousy XC racers were using Lee Quarry!

Understand the leg issues as yesterdays Lee Quarry exertions mean't it was nearly game over after the climb up to Crag today......

Ed showed us the ST weekender DH. We sessioned the last bit (loose/off camber), everyone stacked, my back is very bruised and scabby and thats with my pack on! You all in one piece?

Nearly? I thought it did! You can pump anything rocks, roots, cambers, corners, dips, puddles etc etc etc

I notice it a lot when following other riders as I don't seam to pedal as much on the downs and flat. Confused CJ at Dalby a while back as he could hear me coasting (Hope hub) behind him while he pedalled and I'm not that good at it.

It will take a while but once it becomes second nature...

The suprising part was using it to cross the start of the qualifier. Not something I struggle with but certainly not something I would have thought of as a place to use 'pump'.

Got me to thinking that the rock garden after the coal chute would feel a whole lot better if I used it there cos I would be in control rather than along for the ride!

In fact i'm now thinking its one of the reasons Joe Barnes (my new favourite rider!) makes large rocks look so goddam easy. Well that and a large dollop of talent...

Hi all
I'm new to the area, and forum...
I've been up Buck a few times now, (big bike so far but breaking out the 20" this weekend) If anyone fancies pointing me in the right direction I'm happy to lend a hand toward maintenance :)

Welcome, glad you like the place.

Just keep your eye out on here for a heads up on when we might be working on the place.

One thing always worth doing is taking a carrier bag and picking up a bit of litter, it keeps the rest of buck woods users happy.

Cheers Jason
