Usual drill main car park at 9:30

We will be finishing off a few odd jobs but the main focus will be to return to the section we cut and partly rocked just below the boulder on the descent line.
Rock to finish the fill and build the planned jumps is quite near and if all goes to plan this week we will have aggregate very close by to surface it.

Okay everything didn't quite go to plan and the new aggregate delivery etc won't happen for a few weeks at best.

Most of the plan will remain the same so a few bits of patch work on the red and tweak the new sections as/if required
New small drop/jump as discussed after the new section possible small camber on left after it before roller (should we make something more of the roller??)
A few repairs to the black that we have uncovered most just require a small amount of fill and maybe a few rock being adjusted.
Gather rock for climb and DL alterations (if we can pile a contractor may help move some of it for us)
Gather rock for new line below boulder
Gather rock for jump in trees at top of DL
Some minor repairs to DL extension
Couple of quick repairs to top of DL
Gather rock for new table top on red (that little jump has been doing my head in for years)
Clear and define line on black if weather is bad
Clear Norwood
And so on and on

Okay no chance we will get half that done but will just try tick off as many things as possible

Should be along on Sunday.

Looking forwards to checking out the progress as sounds like there's been quite a lot going down / up / across.

Ive done some of the smaller jobs tonight so main plan is,

Persuade Dave to dig through the red trail before the log ride and fit a pipe,, oh and a drainage ditch parallel to the trail to feed water to it!!
Gather some rock and look at sorting some features near the end of the red. Maybe a bit of patchwork
Main goal is to get rock in place for new line below boulder
Gather rock for more repairs/alterations/features!

If we have a few people about mid afternoon we will fill up a bunch of barrows and make our way down the black and do some minor repairs to the bits we have uncovered during the recent clearing works.

I likes trench digging almost as much as I like sledgehammers. Count me in for a brief burst of early navvying ;-)

Massive thanks to everyone who turned out and helped today. got a load of jobs of the list and created a few new ones.

I've just got in and am Knackered so will post names etc later but as a quick run through

Drainage sorted on red out of tree line before log ride
New section (snake bite) made more tricky is was too easy when we test rode it yesterday
New feature (drop) added to red return after new snake bite section
Berm/ camber added to corner after new drop to carry speed so that roller is going to be fun now!!!
Did some work to tie in the new drop line with the red outgoing and also repaired a number of bits on the section and cambered a corner.
Moved a Sh!t load of rock to the new section below the boulder
Moved another Sh!t load of rock from a wall to stock pile near fireroad climb for future use

For the record Sh!t load is a official and accurate quantitative value for the amount of rock moved.
Also that 12Tonne pile of aggregate we just bought has almost gone!!

Really enjoyed the dig today - sadly didn't have the time / energy to get the bike back out and ride some of the hard work.

Following ride last Sunday which could have resulted in mild hypothermia had we been forced to stop for a puncture and shoes which took until yesterday to dry out, today started with 5 degree celcius temperature on the drive out and finished with sunburnt neck. A full day out in the sun; Stainburn indeed.

Nice one 8)

I was managing a 7 year old who found out 3 miles from Legoland (on his birthday) that it was closed. Nearly as many tears as a dig day

Next dig day I think we will be splitting into two teams and rotate through out the day (or try)

Do a mass rock gathering while we can still find rock (trees etc are growing fast)
Pile rock by push up for future use chain gang worked very well
And repair team to patch and repair boulder trail DL extension
