Hi

Not sure about anyone else but I've not been up in a while and when last I did the jumps etc needed a little work and a few changes to be made improve drainage etc.

I was thinking about going up on a week night starting in June much like we have been to clear the black at Stainburn (so maybe Tuesdays) and making a start.

Anyone up for it?
Any ideas?
Been up and know what needs done? (I will go up before we start anything)

Interested but unreliable

One thing that was pointed out to me was the last TT on the last straight ("behind" the PT). Kids were hippingthat to the RHS and needed some landing / broadedning of the backside / side of the jump.

Think we've talked about that, easier to point and talk than write it.

Before going up and doing stuff probably worth a courtesy email to BMBC and FoBW.

I will do my best.

I've been up recently and it all seems in reasonable condition. Not sure if it all gets used properly so maybe one or two bits need a re-think?

The orrible gorsey stuff along the top of the embankment needs butchering, come to think of it so does the lovely path that leads to the field that leads to the canal in the next wood over (towards Apperly Bridge, Dawson Wood) .

So since we have been doing Stainburn on a Tuesday will do the same here I think.
Need to get hold of a barrow before we start as I suspect we will be moving materials

So Wednesday fits better for more people,,

Lets say the first session will be Wednesday 6th June which means we can pick up a barrow or two after the Stainburn dig on the 3rd.

Yeah - viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3437

Will be more planning and a bit of tweaking than moving material as we have some help later in the month with some volunteers from Lloyds bank.

Repairs and rebuild have started

The jumps in the trees are being decommissioned and the material being used to build others!! Watch this space
The pump track has had a refresh and a couple of berms have been built back up and all the rollers have had some attention
We have done a lot of work to improve the drainage on the first half of the first straight and fingers crossed this should make the track ride much better most of the time
All the smaller jumps on the first straight have been made a little bigger,,,, nothing drastic I promise
The first jump on the back straight has been altered although it still needs a little work.

We still have a lot of material to move to raise the trail in a few places to help water run off and for some new jumps we are just waiting for confirmation back from the council about the location of the new jumps.

Sounds good.

Just got the green light from Bob to add a second line of smaller table tops down the back straight so we have a lot of dirt to move!!

Me, Dave and James spent the day (well me and Dave did James rocked up at lunch) moving material about the woods so we now have the beginnings of a second line of jumps down the back straight and a new roller and table top which can both feed into the pump track (when finished).

Pump track repairs have held up well and it looks to be riding very well

New drainage at bottom for start hill works amazingly well reports say that the track never flooded even yesterday in the downpoor and it was dry as a bone this morning.

A few other drainage issues to sort but we could have sorted that if people didnt keep blocking our temporary drains!!!!
